Glade riders

Here are two sample glade riders with their first basecoat after the black primer. In each case, the basecoat is applied twice to ensure good coverage over black and to avoid putting the paint on too thick. Since horse have large surfaces the paint has to be thinned to avoid "globbing-up".

This horses base colour is codex grey.

While this horses basecoat is graveyard earth.

I'm painting the glade riders steeds lighter than the wild riders, the bases of these steed will all feature some unique old school brettonian shields that I picked up from a fantastic hbby shop in Kitchener (Phoenix Games formerly known as Nexus Games). The new owner is a great chap.
